Yes. Creating an account and reading novels on Novelosity is completely free. Every novel offers its first seven chapters at no cost. Premium chapters beyond chapter seven can be unlocked using Coins — a virtual currency you can earn for free by watching short ads, or purchase in bundles.
Novelosity hosts fiction across a wide range of genres including Romance, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Mystery, Psychological, Historical Fiction, Mafia Romance, Werewolf / Shifter, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal, LGBTQ+ Fiction, Young Adult (YA), Eastern Fantasy, and more. New genres are added as our author community grows.
Chapters 1 through 7 of every novel are always free. From Chapter 8 onward, chapters may be locked and cost Coins to unlock. You receive 250 free Coins when you sign up. To unlock additional chapters, you can either watch a free 30-second ad to unlock one chapter at a time, or purchase a Coin bundle from your account. Authors set the coin price for their premium chapters (typically 10 Coins per chapter).
Novelosity lets you earn free Coins by watching short video advertisements. Each ad you watch unlocks one premium chapter at no charge. This is completely optional — you can also purchase Coin bundles if you prefer not to watch ads. Your Coin balance is displayed in your account header at all times.
Yes. Novelosity is fully optimized for mobile browsers on iOS and Android. You do not need to install an app — the web platform works directly in your mobile browser. The reader interface adjusts automatically for comfortable reading on any screen size.
Your reading progress is automatically saved to your account each time you reach a new chapter. When you return to a novel, you will be taken back to where you left off. Your reading history is accessible from your profile under Reading History.
On any novel's detail page, you will find genre and tag labels that link to filtered Browse results. You can also visit the Browse page and filter by genre, tags, or sort by Most Popular, New Releases, or Recently Updated to discover new stories. Following your favorite authors ensures you never miss their new work.
Yes. If you have read a novel, you can leave a star rating (1–5 stars) and a written review on the novel's page. Reviews are public and help other readers decide what to read next. Authors value honest, constructive feedback. Please keep reviews respectful and focused on the story.
Every novel and chapter page has a Report button. You can report content that violates our Terms of Service, including hate speech, plagiarism, explicit content in an improperly-rated novel, or harassment. Reports are reviewed by our editorial team within 5 business days. You can also email us directly at contact@novelosity.com.
Coins are Novelosity's virtual currency used to unlock premium chapters (Chapter 8 and beyond). New readers receive 250 free Coins on signup. Coins can be earned for free by watching video advertisements, or purchased in bundles. A typical premium chapter costs 10 Coins (approximately $0.10 in real-world value). Coins do not expire and can be used on any novel on the platform.
Coin purchases are non-refundable once completed. If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us at contact@novelosity.com within 14 days of the transaction and we will review the situation. Technical errors (double charges, failed unlocks) are always corrected.
Coins cannot be transferred between accounts and have no cash value. They are a platform utility for accessing premium content. Reader Tips (a separate feature) allow you to send value directly to an author.
Click Sign In at the top of any page and select Create Account. You can register with your email address or with a Google / social login. Account creation is free and takes under 60 seconds.
Yes. Go to Settings from your profile menu. You can update your display name and set a separate Author Pen Name (used publicly on your published novels). Changes take effect immediately across the platform.
You can request account deletion from your Settings page. Account deletion is permanent and removes your profile data, reading history, and coin balance. Published novels will be unpublished and removed from the library within 7 business days. If you have an active exclusive contract, please contact editorial@novelosity.com before deleting.
Yes. We do not sell your personal data. We use Clerk for secure authentication, and your personal information (name, email) is never displayed publicly unless you choose to add it to a public profile. Your pen name is what readers see. Please review our Privacy Policy at novelosity.com/privacy-policy for full details on how we handle your data.
The following content is prohibited on Novelosity: hate speech or content that discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability; content that sexualizes minors; harassment or targeted personal attacks; plagiarized or AI-generated bulk content submitted without disclosure; real-person defamation; and content that promotes illegal activity. Violations result in immediate content removal and account suspension.
We take copyright infringement very seriously. If you believe your copyrighted work has been published on Novelosity without your permission, send a DMCA takedown request to contact@novelosity.com with the subject line 'DMCA Takedown Request'. Include your contact details, a description of the original work, the URL of the infringing content, and a good-faith statement. We process all valid DMCA requests within 10 business days. Repeat infringers are permanently banned.
